Meagan Garza, MA, LMFT-Associate Supervised by Heather Resneder, MA, LMFT-S
Therapist

Meagan Garza is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Associate who provides compassionate, collaborative counseling to teens, individuals, couples, and families. With warmth and dedication, she partners with clients to gently understand themselves, their relationships, and the world around them.

In sessions, Meagan approaches each person with curiosity and creativity to uncover the unique beliefs and messaging that drive their decisions. She draws upon multiple techniques and theories with an emphasis on the client’s connections - with themselves, loved ones, and their greater environment. Together, they find meaning, insight, and pathways forward.

Meagan has experience counseling those navigating life difficulties, transitions, grief and loss, low self-esteem, trauma, anxiety, depression, relational distress, family communication issues, and more. She is passionate about helping teens, young adults, couples, and families through life’s challenges.

With training in Gottman Method couples therapy and Trauma-Focused CBT, Meagan provides research-backed care tailored to each client's needs. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Meagan earned her Master’s in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Sam Houston State University.

Outside of counseling, Meagan enjoys spending time with family, being in nature, learning, and exploring various art mediums. She looks forward to establishing meaningful therapeutic relationships, walking alongside clients on their personal journeys, and making a difference in their lives.
