James Beasley is a Licensed Professional Counselor wholehearted in providing therapy to couples, adults, adolescents, and children (+8). His main therapeutic approach uses existential therapy which aims to help people maximize their capacity in their choices and their development. The overall purpose is to allow clients to collaboratively and spontaneously discover a clearer sense of meaning and purpose in their lives.

James has experience working with families from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. He treats individuals struggling with anxiety and depression, grief and loss, trauma, sexual issues, self worth issues, behavioral development, neurodiversity, relationships and boundaries, life transitions, and spiritual issues. He has worked with multiple healthcare professionals, pastors, and first responders. His specialties include couples in conflict, couples healing from trauma and infidelity, communication problems in couples, and coping with diagnoses of a partner. He also has experience working with the LGBTQ+ community.

James earned his Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has undergone training in Trauma Informed Care, EMDR-related trauma recovery techniques, EFT Couples Counseling, DBT, CBT, and Humanistic Sandtray with additional certifications in Gottman Couples Counseling Level 1 and as a Sexual Intimacy Educator. James uses his recreation time to be active outdoors, play music, enjoy tabletop gaming, and appreciate artistic and cultural experiences with his family.
